Hello avid Shoegirl readers (all two of you)….
It’s been quite awhile since our poor Shoe has experienced any real adventure in her life, and she’s beginning to think that the lack of said adventure has made her start to desire things she has absolutely no business desiring.
Things she knows perfectly well are not at good for her and will never end well, but things she continues to want just the same. Poor Shoe…
Screw it, maybe what she really needs is a let it all go vacation.
Yeah, that’s it…. Some time to just forget about the daily grind and stuff a sock in that little voice that keeps telling her she shouldn’t do this and she had better not even think of doing that… What does that stupid little voice know anyway? A crazy vacation may be precisely what she needs.
Okay, so maybe that little voice has managed to keep her out of trouble in the past, and maybe it has helped her avoid a few somewhat unsavory characters, but dang it! Maybe she’s just plain tired of playing the role of the “good girl” every stinking day of her life.
Author’s Note: Please disregard any previously reviewed Shoegirl stories where Shoe may have behaved in what some may consider a less than “good girl” manner while reading the above statement. After all, the title of all Shoegirl stories does include the following disclaimer, “Loosely based on events from what I sarcastically refer to as my life ...” Loosely based people, loosely based! Therefore, any idea that our dear Shoe may have behaved in anything less than a stellar manner in the past is completely without merit.
Okay, so where were we….
Oh yeah, deciding whether our good girl penny-loafer Shoe should just let her inhibitions go and take a walk on the wild side of life wearing her favorite pair of four-inch hot pink satin pumps.
Hmm… to be continued…
